Wurlitzer 200A
Full Restoration & Tweaking
Here’s one you don’t see every day – a factory-original Avocado Green Wurlitzer 200A Electronic Piano. Almost all of these stage models came in any colour you like, as long as it’s black! In 1976 they made a handful of green ones, a few red ones etc.
The piano needed an overhaul, including the action freeing up, full regulation, various reeds replacing, harp voicing & tuning, keys easing and some attention to the electronics. It’s now back with the customer and getting played like it should.
Leslie Speaker – 22H
Leslie Overhaul & 3-Speed Conversion
Dave’s Leslie 22H & Hammond b-3came out of the US (ex-Joey D) a few years back. The 22H is the precursor to the classic 2-speed 122 Leslie but only has ‘Tremolo’ or ‘Off’. The earlier cabinet and speakers give this model a superior tone according to some … but what would Joey know!
Apart from a full service, this 22H received a dual-motor stack transplant along with 3-speed Trek II EIS-122B solid state relay. The B-3 now has a 3-position switch for ‘Chorale-Off-Tremolo’, making this a very versatile and very recordable rig!
(…and no, that motor is not as close to the valve as it looks…)
